The Snow Queen
I designed the costumes along with Dianna Gibbon for Upstage Youth Theatres musical adaptation of The Snow Queen. I also chaperoned and did hair and make-up for the perofmances.
'Magic from the mundane', was the inspiration for Grandmas Dress and the Theives, their costumes were made up of old bedsheets, pillows, jeans, clothes etc, this also added to the contrast between the icy, cold, sinister look of the Snow Queen/Ice children and the Theives. I also had a lot of fun designing the 'Crows', I did end up getting feathers all over though! It was a fantastic experience and I hope to work for Upstage Youth Theatre again in the near future.
